Petral is a contracting company based in Beirut, working across the city and Mount Lebanon. The work falls into five: houses, buildings, restaurants, glass and maintenance — sometimes the whole glazing package, sometimes named items inside somebody else's contract.

We take the glazing package: windows and doors, curtain walling, frameless and structural glazing, balustrades, shopfronts, skylights and louvres. We are appointed directly by owners and architects, and as a specialist subcontractor to main contractors.

Made, bought, or copied to match

We do not pretend to make everything. Systems, hardware and specialist glass are bought from the people who make them properly, and we say so. What we do keep in hand is the work that decides whether a job fits: cutting and assembly, the decorative and lit pieces, and the one-offs.

The part clients use most is the third option. Bring us a panel, a screen or a section that is broken or discontinued, and we can usually reproduce it to the same figure rather than make you change the whole run to suit what is still on the market.

Working in Lebanon

Profile and glass prices move with the exchange rate and with freight. We price so it is clear which rates are fixed and which are indexed, we name the long-lead items — specialist glass, imported hardware, minimal-frame systems — at the start, and we hold stock of the sections we use most. Nothing here keeps a programme except planning it in advance.
